Events and Cultural Development Officer

Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Culture And Events Development Officer for our client a local government organisation in Bristol.

The successful candidate will develop and deliver a range of markets and other cultural activities to support St Nicholas Market and Broadmead. Working with individuals, culture and event organisations, businesses and other high street stakeholders to animate and generate footfall at St Nicholas Market and in Broadmead.

This role is a 2 month initial contract with the possibility to extend. THIS ROLE IS FULLY OFFICE BASED. WEEKEND WORKING, Saturday and Sunday + 3 days working Mon - Fri (flexible on days).

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Advance diversity, equality and inclusion for all Bristol’s citizens.
• Deliver cultural projects or events that are inclusive, diverse, and easy to access that celebrate and engage with communities, businesses and stakeholders.
• To invest in the culture and events sector.
• Increase paid employment opportunities for creative practitioners, artists, and event professionals.
• Address environmental sustainability, climate and ecological emergency.
• Embed environmental sustainability and climate and ecological emergency priorities, raising awareness and addressing priorities through the proposed projects and activities.

Personal Requirements:

• Previous experience developing cultural activities.
• Relevant event management experience.
• Ability to work on weekends.

Working Hours: 37hrs / 9:00am - 17:00pm / Monday to Friday

Pay: £22.09 per hr
