Job Opportunity: Executive Assistant – Local Authority ?

?? Location: Berkshire - Hybrid Working
Contract Type: Initially 3 months contract with a possibility of getting extended

Reed Public Sector is seeking a highly organised, proactive, and professional Executive Assistant to support senior leadership within our local authority. This is a pivotal role, providing high-level administrative and strategic support to ensure the smooth running of executive operations.

You’ll be the right hand to our senior leaders—managing diaries, preparing reports, coordinating meetings, and acting as a key liaison between internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to senior executives.
  • Manage complex diaries, travel arrangements, and meeting logistics.
  • Prepare agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions for key meetings.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Coordinate communications and ensure timely responses to enquiries.
  • Support project delivery and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar senior administrative role.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools.
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with integrity.
  • A flexible, can-do attitude and a commitment to public service values.
