Job Description - Executive Liaison Officer

Executive Liaison Officer - Basildon
1 year fixed term to perm
£19.50 PAYE
Hybrid 3 DAYS IN OFFICE / 2 DAYS WFH

This role serves as a critical link between senior management and the Leader of the organisation, ensuring alignment in decision-making and strategic planning.
The post holder provides confidential administrative and planning support, manages casework, coordinates meetings, and oversees communications.
Key duties include:

Executive support: Managing the Leader’s activities, meetings, and priorities.
Stakeholder liaison: Handling casework and fostering relationships with internal and external parties.
Meeting coordination: Scheduling, document preparation, minute-taking, and action tracking.
Event management: Planning conferences, away days, and other engagements.
Gatekeeping: Acting as the Leader’s primary contact for inquiries, ensuring political awareness and discretion.
Policy and operational awareness: Keeping the Leader informed of challenges and initiatives.
Compliance: Adhering to GDPR, Equal Opportunities, and Health and Safety regulations. The role requires exceptional judgment, initiative, and political awareness to support the Leader in delivering the Council’s objectives effectively
