A welcoming Autism-specific special school in Hackney is hiring a warm and enthusiastic SEN TA to support a non-verbal child in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This school offers a highly structured and sensory-friendly learning environment tailored to children with high-support needs.

Duties include:

• Supporting 1:1 with communication tools like PECS or Makaton

• Facilitating play-based, therapeutic learning sessions

• Assisting with personal care and sensory regulation

• Contributing to EHCP reviews and progress tracking

We are looking for:

• EYFS or Nursery experience with SEND

• A nurturing and patient attitude

• Understanding of autism and sensory processing
