EYFS Teaching Assistant - 1:1 SEND Support
Location: South Nottingham

Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Hours: 8:30am - 4pm

About the Role:

We are supporting A Primary school that is seeking a dedicated and compassionate EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their nurturing Early Years team from September 2025. This rewarding role involves working 1:1 with a child with SEND, providing tailored support to help them thrive in a mainstream classroom setting.

The successful candidate will also provide personal care and help the child access the full EYFS curriculum in a safe, inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs (SEND)
• Assist with personal care tasks including toileting and hygiene
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to follow individual learning plans
• Use a range of strategies to promote engagement, communication and independence
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment for the child
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to review meetings as required

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting children with SEND, ideally in an EYFS setting
• Is confident and capable in providing personal care
• Demonstrates patience, empathy and a child-centred approach
• Works well in a team and communicates effectively with staff and parents
• Is committed to inclusive education and the well-being of every child
