EYFS Teaching Assistant St Helens

Your new role
Hays Education are working with a primary school in St Helens that is looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join them from September. This will be a full-time temporary position. The role involves supporting the class teacher, managing behaviour, assisting in the general learning and development of the pupils and may include some personal care.
Key duties:
-Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities
-Support children's social, emotional, and physical development
-Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with the teaching team
-Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
-Be comfortable assisting with personal care

What you'll need to succeed

-Full DBS on the update service
-An NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not required.
-Skills in communication, literacy & numeracy
-Attributes such as patience, empathy, creativity, and flexibility
-Experience of working with children, preferably in an early year setting
