Fabricator Welder - Structural Steelwork

Salary: starting at £14 per hour, with overtime opportunities

Are you a skilled Fabricator Welder with experience in structural steelwork and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment? Join a small, friendly, and supportive team where your craftsmanship and attention to detail will be highly valued.

Our client is a growing company working on a variety of bespoke and commercial steel fabrication projects, including staircases, mezzanine, platforms, and structural frameworks. This role offers a mix of workshop-based fabrication and welding, with occasional on-site installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabrication and welding of mild steel structures from engineering drawings
• MIG welding to a high standard (TIG experience beneficial)
• Assembly and installation of staircases and associated structural steelwork
• Operating fabrication tools and machinery (e.g., press brake, guillotine, grinders)
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment using a clean-as-you-go policy
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings accurately
• Working to tight tolerances and project deadlines

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in a similar fabrication and welding role
• Strong background in structural steel, staircases, and balustrades
• Excellent MIG welding skills
• Ability to work independently from technical drawings
• High standards of cleanliness, safety, and workmanship
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

Desirable:

• Forklift licence
• CSCS Card
• Experience with stainless steel or aluminium
