Job Description - Factory Assembly Operative

Job Role: Factory Assembly Operative

Job Type: Temp - Perm

Location: South Molton

Benefits: Various shift patterns available, Leading to a permanent contract, 33 days holiday after 12 weeks, accessible by public transport, free parking, training & progression opportunities, pay grading ladder, overtime available.

We currently have 3 shift patterns available, which are all paid at £12.25 + shift premium.

  1. Day shift - £12.25, no shift premium

Monday-Thursday 08:00am-16:45pm, Friday 08:00am-12:00pm

  1. Rotating shift - £14.09 and £15.31 per hour inclusive of shift premium

Early: Monday - Thursday 06:00am-14:00pm, Friday 06:00am-11:00pm

Lates: Monday - Thursday 14:00pm-22:00pm, Friday 11:00am-16:00pm

  1. Night Shift - £16.29 per hour inclusive of shift premium

Monday - Thursday 20:45pm-06:00am

Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Factory Assembly Operative to join their team in South Molton.

As an Assembly Operative, your primary responsibility will be to assemble high-quality actuator components for the aerospace industry. The aerospace industry demands nothing short of perfection, and we are looking for committed individuals with exemplary assembly skills and dexterity to deliver on that demand. You will be working with state-of-the-art equipment, cutting edge technology, and a team of highly dedicated professionals.

Key responsibilities:

- Assembling actuator components according to specifications and blueprints.

- Maintaining a clean and organised work area.

- Conducting quality checks on finished products.

- Troubleshooting and solving assembly issues.

- Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient production processes.

- Adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.

- Continuously improving assembly techniques to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Skills and qualifications:

- Previous experience in assembly work in a factory environment is desirable

- Hands-on experience outside of work with hobbies such as knitting, nail painting, mechanical car assembly are all transferable skills for this position. If you have any hobbies that require a high level of dexterity - press the apply button!

- Excellent manual dexterity and ability to use precision tools.

- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

- Basic computer skills.

- Experience in the aerospace industry is desirable but not necessary.
