Job Advert: Family First Case Manager (Initial 3-Month Contract with Potential Extension)

Knowsley Family First is seeking a dedicated and passionate Family First Case Manager to join our dynamic team, supporting families with complex needs in line with Knowsley’s Early Help and Prevention Strategy and the national Supporting Families programme.

As a Family First Case Manager, you will play a pivotal role in helping families to thrive, coordinating and delivering multi-agency interventions tailored to the unique needs of each family. You will work directly with children, young people, and their families to achieve positive outcomes, reducing the risk of escalation to higher-level statutory services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on the completion of Early Help Assessments and develop effective, measurable action plans using SMART principles.
• Organise and chair Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings, ensuring coordinated support for families.
• Deliver direct work to children, young people, and parents/carers through home visits and community-based support.
• Regularly review and update family plans to reflect progress and changing needs.
• Ensure all work is completed within timescales and in line with safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate, high-quality case records and reports with excellent written and verbal communication.

About You: We are looking for someone who:
? Has strong safeguarding knowledge and experience.
? Is confident in completing Early Help Assessments and developing SMART plans.
? Can coordinate multi-agency working and facilitate TAF meetings effectively.
? Has experience working directly with children, young people, and families in their homes.
? Is well-organised, able to manage caseloads efficiently, and work within timescales.
? Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
