? Job Opportunity: Family Time Contact Worker (x2 Temporary Positions)

Contract Length: 3 months Hours: 18 hours per week (Flexible shifts including 3pm–7pm, 2:30pm–6:30pm, or 2pm–6pm based on service needs) Availability: Some evening and weekend work required Location: Various venues across and beyond the city

Start Date: Immediate Pay Rate £12.60 expenses paid

About the Role

We are seeking two compassionate and reliable Family Time Contact Workers to join our dedicated team in response to increased demand for court-mandated family time sessions. These sessions support vulnerable children (ages 0–18) in maintaining relationships with their birth parents.

This is an essential service supporting looked-after children and their families, where you’ll be responsible for:

• Transporting children to safe and suitable contact venues

• Supervising family time sessions

• Building warm and trusting relationships with young people

• Recording session details using our social care systems

Requirements

• Significant experience working with vulnerable children and young people

• Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively across age groups

• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

• Willingness to travel across and outside the city

• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

• Familiarity with safeguarding and social care procedures (training provided)

Car seats and baby carriers will be provided for transporting children. Training and supervision will be provided throughout the duration of the contract.

You will need to of experience of working with children in the care system or similar
