F&DT Engineer

Join our dynamic Wing Analysis Engineering team at Filton as a Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer. We're a passionate group of Structural Engineers dedicated to supporting AIRBUS products' wings. This role offers the flexibility to work on various AIRBUS product wings, from incremental developments in Single Aisle and Widebody programmes to cost-saving and continuous airworthiness modifications. You'll be involved in nearly all aspects of the Product Development Plan (PDP), from feasibility studies to certification and occurrences once the product has entered service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Approve F&DT deliverables and lead the resolution of F&DT problems using appropriate methods.
• Oversee the technical scope of assigned projects and tasks.
• Contribute to engineering solutions and innovative ways of working from aerospace, other industries, or research environments.
• Mentor and support the development of less experienced team members on both technical and behavioural aspects.

Essential Skills:

• Experience and expertise in structures engineering and analytical techniques.
• Strong knowledge of overall aircraft structural design principles and techniques.
• Near or current approval signatory in F&DT analysis.
• Ability to think creatively and propose new ideas.
• Background in engineering with a focus on structural analysis, particularly fatigue and damage tolerance.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages and cultural experience are beneficial
