Farm Assistant

• Pay Rate: £14.20 per hour
• Location: Heaton Park, Manchester City Council
• Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (3 months)

Manchester City Council are looking for a dedicated Farm Assistant for Heaton Park. This role requires weekend work and a valid Standard DBS on the update service. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and secure environment for all visitors and employees at the park.

• Maintain the internal and external appearance and cleanliness of buildings and surrounding areas.
• Carry out regular inspections, liaise with customers, and report any identified issues.
• Provide high-quality, customer-focused service, dealing efficiently and courteously with all queries and correspondence from a wide range of internal and external customers.
• Update and extract information from management information systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of the information.
• Work collaboratively and independently to ensure safe working environments and practices, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Contribute to effective building security, operate security systems, lock premises, set security alarms, and ensure the safekeeping of keys.

• Must be physically fit and capable of working outside and lifting heavy items.
• Experience in facilities management or a similar role is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of handling queries and correspondence with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Must possess a valid Standard DBS on the update service.
• A Full UK Driving Licence will be required for this position
