Finance Accountancy Officer

Service Care Solutions are working alongside a Local Authority in Conwy who are looking for a Finance Accountancy Officer to join their team on a temporary contract. Please find a description of the role below.

Role: Finance Accountancy Officer
Rate: £14.36 - £16.81 (PAYE) £15.80 - £18.62 (Umbrella)
Location: Conwy
Contract: 3 months on going
Working: Hybrid

Role Overview:

• Assist in preparing annual school budgets and year-end accounts.
• Support the production of financial forecasts and reports for schools.
• Visit schools regularly to offer advice on budgets and resolve financial queries.
• Respond to queries from schools, suppliers, and internal departments regarding payments and charges.
• Maintain the Primary School Financial Reporting System, ensuring monthly reconciliations and data accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, VAT, CITDS, and audit requirements.
• Assist with creditor payments, including order logging and regulatory checks.
• Stay informed on relevant financial legislation and practices.
