Finance Analyst
Salary: Equivalent to £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (paid hourly)
Contract Type: Temporary, rolling contract

Overview:
Our client is seeking a Finance Analyst to join their finance team on a temporary basis to provide cover during a period of long-term absence and increased project demand. This is a key role within a large, fast-paced finance team, offering immediate exposure to senior stakeholders and full ownership of financial reporting responsibilities.

Role Responsibilities of Finance Analyst:

• Full ownership of the P&L, including cost sheet management

• Preparation of monthly finance packs and leading review meetings

• Posting month-end journals and preparing balance sheet reconciliations

• Conducting monthly reviews with operational stakeholders to drive cost improvements

• Supporting the finance function during system implementation

• Engaging in budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting activities

• Hands-on support across a variety of senior-level finance tasks

Candidate Requirements for Finance Analyst:

• Strong background in management accounting with hands-on month-end experience

• Confident taking ownership of P&L and delivering accurate financial reporting

• Comfortable working with minimal supervision and able to hit the ground running

• Excellent Excel skills and a detail-focused approach

• Qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) beneficial but not essential

• Experience working in a senior analyst or commercial finance role preferred

Additional Information:

• 37.5 hours per week

• Initially office-based; potential for hybrid working (2 days WFH) once trained

• ASAP start
