Finance Assistant - 12 month FTC

Eaton Syalon are partnering exclusively with a business based in Ilkeston who are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant on a 12 month FTC to cover maternity leave . You'll be joining a close-knit team that values honesty, hard work, and a good sense of humour. They are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to help them stay on top of day-to-day transactional duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of management accounts
• Daily Bank posting and reconciliations
• Processing supplier invoices and payments
• Journal Posting
• Handling invoice and payment queries internally and externally
• Intercompany payments and reconciliations
• Assist in month-end end closing processes
• Manage the petty cash
• Processing of expenses for the correct period
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Foreign Currency banking
• Support the purchase ledger function

Person Profile:

• Previous experience in a finance or bookkeeping role
• Strong attention to detail
• A positive attitude and willingness to support in a small team
• The ability to work independently and take initiative, but also collaborate closely with others
• Enjoys working in a small team

Please note, this role is based on site 5 days a week, but they do offer a 35 hour working week with an early finish on a Friday. Flexibility with working hours is available with the position.
