Finance Assistant

RM Recruit are excited to be working in partnership with a not-for-profit organisation based in Coventry who are seeking a Finance Assistant to support the Finance Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract on a term-time only basis. This role is based onsite Monday - Friday with the hours set at (8am - 4pm).

Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices and purchase orders
• Prepare BACS runs
• Assist with bank reconciliations and financial reporting
• Raise & place purchase orders
• Credit card reconciliation
• Manage supplier queries
• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
• Assist with month-end and year-end procedures
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Provide administrative support to the finance function as required

Person Specification

• AAT Qualified or qualified by experience
• Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel
• Well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive and flexible approach to work
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Access, Sage & Xero)
