Finance Assistant

Sheridan Maine is partnering with a well-established business in Halesowen to recruit a Finance Assistant for a temporary position with the potential to become permanent. Ideally available to start immediately, this is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced finance team.

Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:

• Processing invoices and assisting with accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Performing bank reconciliations and supporting financial reporting.
• Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Communicating with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
• Providing general administrative support to the finance team.
• Maintaining accurate up-to-date records of all financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Processing weekly timesheets.

The successful Finance Assistant will require:

• Previous experience in a finance or accounts role or currently studying towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
