Job Title: Interim Finance Assistant (Accounts Payable Support)
Location: Birmingham City Centre | Duration: 3 Months | Start Date: ASAP

Pay: £125 per day

About the Role:
Robert Walters are supporting a leading business based in Birmingham City Centre for a proactive and detail-oriented Interim Finance Assistant to join a dynamic Finance team for an initial 3-month contract. This role is pivotal in supporting the Accounts Payable (AP) function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and contributing to the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities of Finance Assistant:

• Process high volumes of supplier invoices with accuracy and efficiency
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with payment runs and ensure adherence to payment terms
• Respond to internal and external AP queries in a timely and professional manner
• Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the finance system
• Collaborate with procurement and other departments to ensure smooth invoice flow

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Finance Assistant role
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with finance systems
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
