Finance Assistant

Hays are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join a leading law firm based in Manchester City Centre on a 6-month fixed-term basis.
Working alongside fee earners, you will be an integral part of the team, ensuring all the financial aspects of their work are dealt with efficiently in accordance with SRA rules and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing support in relation to the financial aspects of the firm's case management system
• Analysis and investigation of file balances so that informed and appropriate actions are taken to enable timely file closure
• Liaising with Fee Earners and other teams
• Raising appropriate payment requests to the Accounts Team
• Raising Bills
• Processing write-offs
• Closing files.

Ideally, we are looking for candidates with experience in a legal cashier role or similar, and experience of working within the legal sector.
