Job Description - Finance Assistant

We are recruiting for a major Sheffield client of ours who is looking for a FINANCE ASSISTANT on a 3-month temp contract which may possibly be extended.

Finance experience is desirable but not essential, however admin experience is essential along with strong Excel skills. Do you have Data processing skills, are you a competent IT user and confidently numerate? If you've answered Yes, then we want to hear from you.

Brief outline of the role:

Income Processing:

  • Accurately process and code income, cash and cheques into Raisers Edge
  • Send out the appropriate thank you letters within agreed timescale.
  • Process donations from fundraising platforms e.g Just Giving, Raisely
  • Assist with general finance and data administrative tasks.
  • Provide ad hoc support for finance and fundraising campaigns.

Gift Aid Processing:

  • Process Gift Aid declarations in line with HMRC regulations.
  • Ensure constituent records are updated accurately in Raiser’s Edge.
  • Identify and resolve any missing constituent information.

Data Processing and Maintenance:

  • Enter donor information / demographics in Raiser’s Edge
  • Identify and correct data inconsistencies.

Data Cleaning and Quality Assurance:

  • Identify duplicate information and merge records where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and GDPR standards.

37.5 hours per week.

Office Based 5 days
