Job description


You will provide financial and administrative support to the global group as part of the UK‑based finance team. This 12‑month fixed‑term role supports daily finance operations and may lead to a permanent position.

Place of work: Mix of remote and at company offices Daxtra, Musselburgh, EH21 6QD. Generally 1 office day per month agreed with the team.


 


Responsibilities



Purchase Ledger



  • Log and manage supplier invoice approvals

  • Record invoices in the finance system

  • Generate supplier payment lists

  • Prepare supplier payments via online banking

  • Resolve supplier and internal queries


 


Staff Expenses and Corporate Card Administration



  • Distribute monthly corporate card statements

  • Record expenditure in NetSuite

  • Process cash expenses


 


Payroll



  • Support preparation of payroll data for the external provider

  • Record payroll and associated costs

  • Create payroll-related bank payments


 


Cash Management



  • Perform weekly bank reconciliations

  • Produce daily bank balance report



Month End



  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations

  • Prepare accruals and prepayments


 


Other



  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns

  • Support ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis


 
Person Specification



  • Experience performing the tasks listed under the responsibilities section

  • Enthusiastic/motivated/self-starter with the ability to manage own workload (particularly given remote working) with support and guidance from line manager and colleagues.

  • Ability to take full ownership of tasks and see tasks through to completion to agreed deadlines.

  • Experienced user of finance systems – NetSuite experience is advantageous.

  • Ability to work remotely and comfortable using various communication technologies, e.g. instant messaging, video calling, email and telephone.

  • Experience working in a multi-entity environment

  • Detail oriented

  • Strong Microsoft office skills, particularly Excel
