We're currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Finance Assistant to join a welcoming and down-to-earth finance team based in the Southside of Glasgow. This is a full-time temporary role (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday) to cover long-term sickness within the team. There is potential for the role to become permanent.

We're ideally looking for someone who can start on a rolling week-to-week contract. The position will be hybrid, although you may initially be required in the office most days to complete training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process purchase invoices, payments, and bank transactions on finance systems.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and reconcile supplier statements.
• Manage and distribute incoming finance-related mail (post and email).
• Prepare and maintain purchase ledger records and regular payment reports.
• Respond to internal and supplier queries promptly.
• Assist with scanning, data entry, and general finance support tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong written and numerical skills
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload independently
• Confident user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Minimum of 1 year's experience in a finance-related role or a relevant finance qualification
• Previous experience in a similar finance role
• Understanding of purchase ledger processed
• Educated to Higher level (or equivalent), including English and Maths
