Finance Assistant - Hybrid

Macildowie are actively seeking a Finance Assistant to join a well established business based in Mansfield on a 18 month contract basis.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm (35 hours a week)

Salary is based between £25,000 - £29,000 depending on experience

Hybrid working available after probation period.

The ideal candidate will have proven accounting knowledge, experience performing a range of financial tasks, and be confident using accounting systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. You should have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a friendly, positive attitude. A methodical approach, ability to multitask, and commitment to meeting deadlines in a busy environment are essential. A degree in Accounting and Finance or an AAT qualification, along with experience in a regulated environment, would be a distinct advantage. Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Work with other Finance Assistants to achieve the processing requirements of the Finance Department
• Perform the daily download allocating customer receipts to customer accounts
• Prepare journals ready for posting into the accounts system and check and upload journals from other team members
• Code, log and batch supplier invoices ready for payment through weekly payment runs
• Produce the daily treasury worksheet accurately
• Check, prepare and process all treasury documentation
• Carry out daily reconciliations on control accounts
• Liaise with other departments regarding transaction queries
• Prepare controlled stationery for delivery to branches
• Complete other ad -hoc tasks as required
• Carry out all duties as detailed and in accordance with the Finance department's documented policies and procedures.
