Finance Assistant (Part-Qualified or Newly Qualified)

This is a great fit for someone ready to step into a hands-on finance role within a friendly, values-led environment. You’ll be supporting the day-to-day financial activity of a busy department.

From processing claims and journals to supporting budget monitoring and producing reports, you’ll play a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly, and helping others stay focused on what matters. The last person in this role was promoted internally, and there’s a real commitment here to learning, development and doing things well.

You’ll be liaising with a range of colleagues, some finance-savvy, some not, so a clear, calm, and collaborative approach is key.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience in a not-for-profit or higher education finance setting
• Is part-qualified or newly qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or similar)
• Can confidently handle claims, journals, and expense processes
• Is comfortable preparing reports and spotting issues in budgets
• Communicates well with both finance and non-finance colleagues
• Brings a methodical, steady approach, with a dash of curiosity
