Finance Assistant - temporary - 4-6 months

My client a global environmental organisation have a vacancy for a Finance Assistant to join their friendly and welcoming team for a period of 4- 6 months on a temporary basis.

• Hourly rate: £20p/h.
• Monday - Friday - hybrid working on offer.
• Location: Central London - near Victoria.

Responsibilities:

• General finance team support: Assisting with day to day tasks such as invoice processing, payment runs, journal preparation, bank reconciliations, inbox monitoring and covering responsibilities during team absences.
• Investment/deposit support: Helping to prepare investment schedules, bank instructions and related documentation; coordinating with the internal stakeholders and external banking focal persons and ensuing proper record-keeping.
• Accounts payable and receivable: providing support with compensation-related payments and processing claimant transaction, as well as accounting for contributions received.
• Month-end and reporting assistance: Contributing to monthly closing activates, preparing reconciliations, and ensuring that all supporting documentation is maintained.
• Systems: Business Central knowledge is desirable - Good knowledge of Excel is a must.

You will need to be:

• Qualified by Experience, AAT studier or an earlier stage ACCA/CIMA studier.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Organised and be able to manage tasks
