Are you a strategic finance professional with a commercial mindset and a passion for driving improvement? Hays are recruiting a Finance Business Partner - Commercial Lead, supporting high-impact commercial and governance initiatives across the organisation.

??About the Role
This is a dynamic and influential role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident working across complex financial and commercial landscapes. You will:

• Support the Commercial Board with financial insight and strategic input.
• Lead the review of subsidiaries and traded services, ensuring robust governance and value for money.
• Oversee the next phase of work on trusts and charities.
• Manage requests and review processes related to the Regional Growth Fund.
• Contribute to the commercial review of major development projects.

? What We're Looking For
We're seeking a candidate with more than just technical finance skills. You'll need:

• A broad financial background, ideally beyond traditional service finance roles.
• A strong understanding of governance, compliance, and financial controls.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements and deliver results at pace.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience of working in a Local Authority or public sector organisation
