Finance Business Partner - Hybrid Working

We’re currently partnering with a dynamic and commercially driven organisation to recruit an Interim Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner to cover a 12-month maternity contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to join a high-performing team and add real value by supporting operational and strategic decision-making.

Working closely with the Divisional Directors and wider senior leadership, this role will play a key part in providing robust financial insight, improving processes, and driving performance across multiple schemes and workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Month-End & Management Reporting: Preparation of timely and accurate management accounts, rolling forecasts, and in-depth variance/trend analysis.
• Business Partnering: Be the go-to finance contact for Divisional Directors and operational managers, helping them understand their financial performance and make data-driven decisions.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead on divisional budgets and reforecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Financial Analysis: Deliver clear profitability insights at project/workstream level, supporting commercial priorities.
• Balance Sheet & Control: Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial integrity.
• Process Improvement: Identify and drive enhancements to finance processes and reporting tools.
• Cash & Commercial Support: Work collaboratively across AR and wider teams to optimise cash flow; support with tender/pricing input and client billing reconciliations.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Part-qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or QBE with strong commercial acumen.
• Proven track record in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering in a fast-paced or project-led environment.
• Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with ERP/finance systems.
• Strong communicator - able to translate financials into actionable insight for non-finance stakeholders.
• Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused, with a positive and collaborative approach.
