Finance Cashier

Finance Cashier | On Going Temporary | Hybrid Working | Leicester | Up To £13.50ph

We're supporting a well-established organisation in Leicester with the recruitment of a Temporary Cashier to join their finance team during a busy period.

This opportunity would suit someone with experience in transactional finance, cashiering, or payment processing, who is confident handling payments and ensuring accurate financial records.

Location: Leicester (2 days in-office, 3 days from home)
Contract: Full-time | Temporary
Rate: Up to £13.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Process incoming payments (cash, card, BACS, cheques)
• Post receipts to the finance system accurately and promptly
• Reconcile daily banking and till activity
• Manage petty cash, floats, and internal cash handling processes
• Respond to internal and external payment-related queries
• Maintain records in line with internal controls and audit standards

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a similar role such as cashier, accounts assistant, or finance clerk
• Comfortable with high-volume transactional work
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Confident communicator and team player
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

The Offer

• Temporary contract, initially 3 months with possible extension
• Up to £13.50 per hour, paid weekly
• Hybrid working model (2 days in-office, 3 days remote)
• Supportive team environment with full handover and training
