Finance Controller

REED Finance are recruiting for an experienced Interim Finance Controller to join a leading manufacturing business based in Andover on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a full-time hybrid role (3 days on-site) with an immediate start, offering a salary starting from £65k up to £75k depending on experience. There is potential for this role to become permanent.

You will report directly to the UK Plant Manager, with dotted-line responsibility to the European Operations Finance Director, and will play a key role in shaping financial strategy, ensuring compliance, and driving performance across the business.

• Lead all aspects of financial reporting – local, group, and statutory.
• Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with UK tax regulations (VAT, Corporation Tax).
• Deliver monthly management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting, with detailed variance analysis.
• Present financial results to the Senior Leadership Team on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Oversee a remote finance team in Romania handling AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and Banking.
• Manage cash flow, payroll journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support the General Manager with financial strategy, KPI reporting, and cost centre management.
• Liaise with auditors and prepare statutory accounts in line with Companies House requirements.

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
• Strong experience in manufacturing finance, ideally within electrical or industrial sectors.
• Proficient in Oracle or similar ERP systems.
• Proven track record of process improvement and driving operational efficiencies.
• Experience managing remote teams across international locations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
