Finance Director

Altum Consulting are working with a future-facing Jewish charity based in central London to recruit an Interim Finance Director. This role is a 1-year contract offering the opportunity to lead a small finance function during a time of exciting and welcome change.

As Interim Director of Finance, you will:

• Lead strategic financial planning during the creation of the new entity

• Oversee financial operations across the organisation and its partner bodies

• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance (FRS 102, SORP, Charity Commission, GDPR)

• Manage data migration, budgeting, payroll, Gift Aid and financial reporting

• Support governance with clear and confident board-level engagement

• Lead and support a small finance team through organisational change

We're looking for a confident leader and expert finance professional who thrives in complex, evolving environments:

• Qualified accountant with 5+ years' post-qualification experience

• Proven track record of financial leadership, ideally in the not-for-profit or charity sector

• Experience of organisational change and/or merger integration

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative, values-based approach

• A commitment to diversity and inclusion
