Interim Finance Director - TV & Content Production

Location: London (Hybrid)
Contract: Interim (12 months)
Start Date: ASAP

A leading TV and content production company is looking for an experienced Finance Director to step into a key role in an interim basis. This is a rare opportunity to take the financial lead across a fast-moving, creative, and commercially ambitious business producing high-profile content for major broadcasters and global platforms.

Reporting directly to the CFO, and working closely with the CEO and Managing Director of TV, you’ll be a senior member of the leadership team — driving financial performance, providing strategic oversight, and enabling long-term commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of financial strategy, planning, and control for the TV division
• Oversee management reporting, cashflow forecasting, and commercial insight
• Play a hands-on role in business partnering with the CEO, CFO and production leadership
• Support major pitches, greenlight decisions and commercial negotiations
• Own the division’s P&L, forecasting and budgeting cycles
• Provide robust financial modelling and board-level reporting
• Manage and mentor a small finance team, including production accountants
• Drive systems improvements and reporting efficiencies across the division
• Support group-level requirements, including audits and group reporting
• Contribute to integration planning for potential M&A or structural changes

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 10+ years PQE
• 8+ Years solid experinece in Media Production industry
• Recent & Proven track record in TV production finance - essential
• Strong commercial acumen with excellent strategic and analytical skills
• Experience in leading teams, driving process improvements, and influencing senior stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, creative, and deadline-driven environment
• Confident in financial modelling, margin analysis, and reporting to board level
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with NetSuite or similar ERP a plus
