Finance Manager

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role's primary responsibility is for the day to day finance operations.

Description

• Manage the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning.
• Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations for optimisation.
• Collaborate with department heads to analyse financial performance and provide insights.
• Supervise the accounting team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in day-to-day tasks.
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function.

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have:

• A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting principles.
• Experience in managing financial processes within the Financial Services industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills to convey financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage and mentor a finance team.
