Finance Officer

The Finance Officer will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function, contributing to accurate financial reporting and efficient operational processes.

• Processing purchase and sales invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely coding

• Performing regular bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate cashbooks

• Supporting month-end processes including journals, accruals, and prepayments

• Involvement in Accounts Recievable and Accounts Payable tasks

• Supporting the finance team with ad hoc tasks and improvement initiatives

• Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve queries

• AAT studying or studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA)

• Previous experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within a charity, not-for-profit, or membership environment

• A knowledge of Excel and finance systems (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage)

• Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and communication skills

• Abitious individual looking to grow and progress within the role
