Job Title: Finance Officer

Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid working - 2 days in the office)

Salary: £29,000 - £34,000 per annum

Contract Type: Full-time (minimum 3 days/week), contract for 10 Months, with the potential to convert to a permanent role

We are excited to be partnering with a non-for-profit organisation in Edinburgh, that are going under a re-structuring and system implementation. We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to support the team for 6 months in the first instance with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and funder reporting requirements.
• Maintain and improve financial policies, systems, and procedures.

Skills required:

• Proven experience in a finance or accounting role
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Understanding of UK charity accounting principles and regulations would be a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A relevant qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA part-qualified, or equivalent) would be an advantage
