Finance Officer

REED Accountancy and Finance are working in partnership with a Not for Profit Client recruiting a Finance Officer for a 6 month Fixed Term contract, working 30 hours a week. The start date is 1st September 2025 with TEAMS interviews taking place from WC 21st July.

As the role can be offered on a Working from Home / Hybrid basis, our client is open to applications from experienced Bookkeepers who are able to work autonomously after a settling in period

Finance Officer

30 hours per week - TEMP contract (core hours are (am - 4pm, however you can work flexible hours to suit school times etc)

Pay rate - Circa £15.00 per hour

Duties:

• General accountancy support to the Chief Executive/Director of Finance.
• Managing the purchase ledger.
• Supporting the setting of service charges for residents.
• Month end reconciliations.
• Accounting for all sundry receipts and payments.
• Assisting other staff in the office as required.

Principal duties and responsibilities

• General accountancy support to the Chief Executive/Director of Finance
• Preparation and posting of month end journals for loan accounts, depreciation and rent adjustments.
• Preparation and posting of month end accruals and prepayments.
• Act as backup for the payroll function.
• Accounting for all sundry receipts and payments
