Job Description
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in London for a Finance Officer to join their SEN Finance team on a temporary basis. The postholder will provide a high level of administrative, financial and some contract support to the SEN Funding and Finance Officer in relation to High Needs Block expenditure with different types of schools, and other partner agencies. This will enable the SEN Service to log, monitor and track payments made to educational settings, in line with the High Needs Funding Operational Guidance or against nurture group delivery, external contracts and for purchases such as specialist equipment.

CandidateCriteria

• AAT Qualified or Part-Qualified CCAB Accountant
• Experience of working within a Local Government Finance environment
• Experience of working in an SEN/Education Finance team is highly desirable
• Strong administrative skills with experience of communicating with external contacts and raising purchase orders
• Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
