Our client, a leading financial institution with a global presence, is seeking a talented Financial Reporting Associate to join their dynamic team in London on a fixed-term contract until August 31, 2026. About the Role:

As a Financial Reporting Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance reporting team across both London and EU branches. This is a hybrid position, allowing you to work in the office three days a week while collaborating with your team. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, either from 8 am to 4 pm or 9 am to 5 pm, with some flexibility required during month-end reporting periods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in monthly closing tasks, including invoice payments and accruals/prepayments.
• Provide daily financial accounting support to front and non-front departments.
• Identify issues and propose effective solutions.
• Liaise with Front departments, OAD, F&C, and IT to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare and verify internal and external reports.
• Monitor and maintain the general ledger under US GAAP.
• Support month-end closing and EMEA/Tokyo reporting.
• Assist auditors with financial statements and reporting.
• Implement controls to enhance financial statement accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulatory reporting requirements across EU branches.

What You Bring:

• Solid accounting knowledge, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Experience in a large financial services organisation.
• Proficiency in Excel, with good knowledge of Power BI and Power Query.
• Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work proactively and manage time effectively under pressure.
