Finance Supervisor - International Law Firm

Title: Finance Supervisor (7m FTC)

Ryder Reid Legal is seeking a dedicated Finance Supervisor to join the London office on a maternity cover contract. This role involves providing essential local office finance support and working closely with firm finance teams internationally and in London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily financial operations, ensuring compliance with firm-wide policies and legal requirements.
• Act as the main point of contact for the London office's accounting department.
• Maintain financial controls, meet SRA requirements, and ensure data integrity.
• Oversee monthly and annual financial statement close processes and timely reporting.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Manage cash flow and working capital.
• Coordinate financial audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review VAT returns and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support the Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA).
• Provide stand-in support for the London finance team as needed.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in legal finance.
• Proficiency in general accounting procedures and compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of 3E Elite, Xcelerate, and Chrome River is an asset.
