Finance Support Accountant

Our client is looking for a Finance Support Accountant to provide additional support to their finance team during a period of process improvements. This is a hands-on role that will involve a range of tasks, including reconciliation and matching of historical data, process standardisation, and assistance with day-to-day payment approvals.

Key Responsibilities
Reconcile and match historical financial data across multiple systems
Organise and structure financial records to support standardisation
Assist with streamlining and improving finance processes
Support daily payment approval workflows
Work confidently with large datasets, ensuring accuracy and integrity
Person Specification / Experience Required
Demonstrable experience in a finance department
Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping (essential)
Confident in working with multiple trial balances (TBs)
Advanced Excel skills; comfortable handling large volumes of data
Experience using Sage X3 is an advantage
Strong attention to detail, particularly when completing repetitive tasks
Accounting qualifications desirable or equivalent experience
