Finance Team Leader

My client is a Local Authority in the East Midlands who are looking to appoint an InterimFinance Team Leader, Spencer Clarke are working to find the successful candidate.

About the role:

Based in East Midlands(Primarily Remote):

This role is to manage designated areas of the Council's finance function including, but not exclusively: annual budget, council tax setting, Statement of Accounts, statutory reporting, insurance, treasury management and financial and capital accounting.

What's on offer:

• Salary: £500 - £600 per day, inside IR35.

*negotiable based on experience

• Hybrid working.
• Contract type: Contract (36.25 hrs a week)
• Hours: 09:00 -17:00 Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

• Managing the team of four finance business partners, capital accountant and treasury accountant.
• The lead for quarterly budget monitoring, reports to Cabinet, annual budget setting and statutory reporting.

About you:
You will have the following experiences:

• CCAB qualification or equivalent
• Extensive experience of financial management in local government
