Finance Transformation & Data Specialist - 12 Month Contract

Looking for your next finance & data project in music? This global music group is hiring a qualified accountant to join a strategic finance transformation initiative. If you've worked at a major label and enjoy digging into data, streamlining systems, and reconciling complex agreements, this could be the perfect 12 month contract.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategy for data cleaning and reconciliation of historic royalty balances in SAP

• Validate, reconcile, and cleanse royalty-related data across platforms, focusing on accuracy and consistency

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in royalty and finance data, working with internal royalty and finance teams

• Assist with data migration and integration between systems, ensuring proper formatting and alignment

• Prepare progress reports for project stakeholders and maintain thorough documentation for audit purposes

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Royalties, Finance, SAP, Tech, and external consultants

• Support post-migration testing and reconciliation activities

• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements within finance and royalty data processes

Requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CA)
• Proven experience in a music label environment is essential

• Background in music accounting, ideally including A&R accounting and royalty finance.

• Strong understanding of structured, complex music agreements

• Hands-on experience with data validation, cleansing, migration, reporting, and integration.

• Comfortable working with Excel (pivots, lookups, formulas); SAP experience preferred

• Immediately available or on 2 weeks notice or less
