Financial Accountant

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance Department. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of financial regulations and practices within the Not For Profit industry.

Based in Newport, our client is a highly regarded organisation within the Not For Profit sector. They are a medium-sized entity, known for their dedication to making a positive impact on the community they serve.

Description

My client is going through a very busy period and requires a Fully Qualified Accountant to manage the excess workload.

This will be "Project" orientated but will mainly focus on Year End duties.

• Be a part of the team that will produce the Year End Statutory Accounts, ensuring all are compliant with regulation and legislation.
• Implement robust financial systems and processes.
• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
• Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors.

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

• Professional qualification such as ACA ACCA, CIMA or similar.
• Proficient skills in accounting software.
• Solid knowledge of accounting and financial principles, laws and best practices.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

• initial 6 month FTC - may be extended
