We Do Group are supporting a consumer focussed business with a dynamic portfolio of businesses across the UK.

Following a recent acquisition, they are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to support the integration process and conduct a detailed review of the newly acquired company's financials.

The Financial Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity of the newly acquired business.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you’ll lead a thorough review of the company’s financial statements and identify any potential issues or discrepancies.

Role:

• Conduct a comprehensive review of the balance sheet, statutory accounts, and audit files.
• Identify and assess any cashflow concerns, liquidity risks, or financial anomalies.
• Validate financial information and ensure it aligns with internal reporting standards.
• Work with internal stakeholders and external auditors to clarify or rectify any discrepancies.
• Provide detailed findings and recommendations to senior finance leadership.

Profile:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong technical accounting background, with experience in statutory reporting and audit.
• Proven track record in due diligence, business integration, or M&A financial review.
• Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
