Financial Accountant

Are you a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a strong background in group reporting, finance data management, and systems accounting? We are partnering with a leading local business to recruit a talented Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a key role within the finance function, supporting the leadership team with technical accounting, group reporting, and process review during a critical phase of change. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring robust group reporting, financial data accuracy and financial compliance.
?? Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver accurate group consolidations for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of financial accounting and analysis in line with IFRS/UK GAAP.
• Lead and support elements of a data migration to internal systems, ensuring integrity, accuracy, and compliance throughout.
• Support month-end close and consolidation processes across group entities.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and drive continuous improvements.
• Produce ad hoc reports and analysis to support decision-making.

? About You:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Experience in group reporting within a complex or multi-entity environments.
• Hands-on experience with financial data entry and/or systems accounting
• Strong understanding of systems accounting, controls, and financial processes.
• Technically strong with a good knowledge of IFRS or UK GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills and an analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
