Financial Accountant - Temp

We're looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join an established media group, with a focus on statutory reporting, audits, and compliance across UK and Group entities.

• Lead preparation of UK statutory and Group consolidated financial statements in line with accounting standards and company policies

• Support the annual external audit process, providing documentation and addressing queries

• Prepare and review monthly financial reports, investigating variances for the Corporate Finance Team

• Support month-end close, balance sheet reviews, cash flow analysis, and bank reconciliations

• Prepare tax computations and liaise with tax advisors

• Act as a liaison between the Controlling team and wider business functions

• Ensure compliance with internal finance policies and controls

• Respond to ad hoc financial queries and support system/process improvements

• ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with 3+ years' post-qualification experience

• Preferably Big 4 trained, with extensive experience in financial statement preparation or audit

• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

• Detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn

• Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills
