Financial Analyst

• Salary: £17.40 - £17.95 per hour
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Fridays

Reed Norwich Accountancy is looking for an experienced candidate to join our client's team on an on-going temporary position in a dynamic manufacturing environment as a Management Accountant/Finance Analyst. This role is crucial for someone with a robust understanding of financial accounting, including Balance Sheet and P&L components, as well as Month End reporting and reconciliation.

• Intercompany Recharges: Manage travel costs identification and recharging to intercompany.
• Goods in Suspense - A & B Product Lines: Conduct Balance Sheet Reconciliation to identify timing differences in supplier invoices and goods received. Analyse all Visibility transactions through the GIS account and reclassify them to the P&L.
• AR & AP Accounts Receivable: Reconcile and balance the control account to the Trial Balance (TB) and apply month-end FX rates to revalue debtors' and creditors' books in EUR for EMEA Consolidation on Cognos.
• IS Income Statement Analysis: Analyse OPEX for the month and YTD, monitor trends, and identify exceptional costs before finalising the month-end result.
• Exceptional Reporting & Analysis: Manage credit balances in debtor's ledger and debit balances in Creditors ledger to prevent payment duplications.
• Project Accounting: Track and analyse Labour and Material costs per project to determine Gross Profit per project and burn rate.
• Month End Reporting: Update the management pack post-close, involving significant pre-processing.
• EMEA Reporting and Consolidation tasks: Handle ad hoc tasks including slide preparation and formatting.
• Other Tasks: Update FX rate for Visibility users, reconcile progress Ledger with invoices raised, and manage sales ledger reporting and reconciliation.

• Proven experience in financial accounting, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Balance Sheet, P&L, and Month End processes.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel, with the ability to manipulate significant data.
• Experience with Cognos for EMEA consolidation tasks is highly desirable.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with high complexity and business impact.
