Description

As the Interim Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in leading and improving the finance function. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of financial reporting, controls, and process improvements, ensuring the finance team supports the wider business effectively through a period of change and growth.

• Lead the finance team and manage all day-to-day financial operations
• Deliver timely and accurate management accounts and financial reports
• Oversee the month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow management
• Improve financial processes, controls, and systems to support business scalability
• Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and decision-making
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across departments
• Manage external relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
• Support change projects and business initiatives as required

Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills
• Track record of improving systems, processes, and controls
• Commercial awareness and ability to influence across the business
• Proactive, hands-on approach with a can-do attitude
• Comfortable working in a changing, fast-paced environment
• Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge

Job Offer

• Day rate of £500 (Inside IR35)
