Financial Controller

• Annual Salary: £60K – £65K
• Location: Staines (Hybrid: 4 days on-site, 1 day remote)
• Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team in Staines, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This role involves managing the accounting function and financial reporting across multiple entities within the organisation. The ideal candidate will be qualified and have robust experience in financial management within the technology sector and be capable of leading a finance team effectively.

• Oversee the submission of monthly Management Accounts to the Head office.
• Control month-end journal postings including WIP, prepayments, accruals, holiday provisions, etc.
• Manage Management Accounts and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Produce monthly Management analytic reports.
• Handle Intercompany balance reconciliation and repayment.
• Submit legal entity VAT returns.
• Manage the submission of month-end statutory accounts onto Head Office consolidation software.
• Conduct half-year reviews and year-end statutory audits.
• Prepare annual budgets with input from the Business Unit Directors.
• Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and internal controls.
• Supervise, manage, and mentor a financial team of 6.
• Review and approve monthly payments.

• Academic degree in Economics, Finance, or equivalent.
• Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Solid IT skills, experience with Sage, and advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
• High attention to detail.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience leading a finance team in the technology sector.
• Ability to communicate effectively, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
