Financial Controller

Altum Consulting are working with an established retail company to recruit a Financial Controller position based in Central London. This role is 12-month FTC offering strong progression potential within a stable and fast-paced business. Applying candidates must be available on a short notice period.

Financial Controller role:

• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business
• Prepare and present accurate monthly and annual financial reporting packs
• Ensure all reporting complies with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Implement and maintain robust financial processes and internal controls
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Provide financial analysis to support business decisions
• Business partner with key stakeholders across operations, buying, and marketing
• Drive process improvements and support systems upgrades where necessary
• Mentor and manage a small finance team

As a Financial Controller you'll be/have:

• A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience working within the retail or consumer goods industry
• A commercial mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
• Proven experience implementing controls and driving financial improvement
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive
• Available to start on a short notice period
