Financial Controller - FTC

Overview:
My long standing client is looking for a motivated Financial Controller to join them on an initial 12 month FTC. This senior role is key to managing financial reporting, compliance, and controls across UK and Ireland operations. You'll lead a skilled finance team, support internal and external reporting, and drive improvements in financial processes and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

• Lead financial reporting cycles, including management and statutory reporting.

• Ensure accurate, timely period-end reporting and audit coordination.

• Manage tax compliance and company secretarial duties.

• Oversee balance sheet integrity and cash forecasting.

• Handle technical accounting issues and support business integrations.

• Drive enhancements in reporting quality and efficiency.

Controls & Compliance:

• Ensure strong financial controls and risk mitigation.

• Support internal audits and monitor control frameworks.

• Champion continuous improvement and alignment with corporate governance standards.

Essential:

• Proven leadership in a fast-paced, multi-site business

• Team development and mentoring experience

• Strong track record in improving efficiency and implementing financial controls

• Skilled in delivering accurate reporting under tight deadlines

• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards

• Qualified accountant (minimum 5 years PQE)

Desirable:

• Familiarity with group reporting structures

• Working knowledge of US GAAP
